Our Family

We are the Sperling family located in Shelby, NC. We added our first yorkie (a male) to our family in February, 2003 and immediately fell in love. We added our second yorkie (a female) just a short while later. After many hours, days, and months of research, we decided to begin breeding as a hobby. We wanted to be able to add to other families the joy that we share with our yorkies. Since this time, we have acquired years of experience and knowledge about the yorkie breed, as well as, lots and lots of added love and stories that we share with our family and everyone.

We take much pride and time in the breeding of each new litter. We breed for Quality in personality, color and size. All puppies are raised under foot in our home and receive lots of love and attention from all members of our family. We feel this gives each puppy the best interaction quality with people, as well as the other members of our family (our yorkies). It helps them develop their own unique personality that they can take with them to their new forever home when that time arrives.

We DO NOT sell to puppy mills or pet stores, so if you fall into either of these categories, don't waste your time or mine trying to buy one of our adorable puppies. We sell to individuals/families only that are looking for the perfect puppy to add to their family.

We feel the information on the breed as well as the information on the breeder is something every prospective new owner should have access to. We are an accredited breeder of AKC Yorkshire Terriers.
